Helps reducing number of wires that lead up the tower.Power over pins 4 and 5 is used to power and communicate with 10/100/1000Mbps device.

Passive PoE- means that input and output voltage are equal. Transforms Non PoE devices to PoE enabled.
Supports 5V, 12V, 24V, 48V. Power supply required for power input - simply use the power supply (wall transformer) that is provided with the device you are trying to power. PoE injector and splitter kit with 5.5 * 2.1 mm DC jack / plug. Use with IP security camera, wireless access point and other devices. Can work up to 30-50 metres(depending on the quality of the cable and the power draw of the device).
